Chocolatier

Located at Baswani Mansion in Church Gate, we have been working from this spot for a while now. The building is one of those old Mumbai structures that has a lot of character, even if the pipes act up sometimes. Being in Church Gate means we are right in the middle of all the commuters coming off the trains. It’s a fast-paced area, but inside the mansion, things feel a little more settled. We focus on our chocolate work here, mostly keeping our heads down and getting through the production schedule. It’s not a massive factory; it’s more of a workspace where we can keep an eye on everything at once. We don't use much in the way of high-tech gadgets, preferring to stick to what we know works. The smell of chocolate usually fills the room, which is the best part of the job, honestly. Sometimes the humidity makes things tricky, but we’ve learned how to deal with it over the years. We aren't here to make any grand statements or anything like that. We just enjoy the process of making things by hand. The staff is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from washing up to packing boxes. It is just a regular day-to-day business trying to stay consistent and keep our customers happy without any extra fuss or complicated talk.
