Chocolate & More

Chocolate & More is located inside Natraj Estate 301, right near Juhu Siddhi Motors. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time because the entrance is tucked away. We’ve got a small space here where we make all kinds of treats. It’s mostly chocolate, but we do have some other snacks too. The kitchen is where we spend ninety percent of our time. It’s got that heavy smell of sugar that sticks to your clothes. My sister and I run most of it, and we hire a few local kids to help with packing when things get busy during the holidays. We don’t have a big store window. Most of our work is for orders that people call in. We’ve got a few old fridges that keep everything cool, which is important with the Mumbai heat. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to keep things from melting. It’s a lot of manual work, stirring big pots and hand-wrapping each piece. We use simple tools, nothing too high-tech. The floor is usually a bit sticky by the end of the day. We like being in Juhu, even if the traffic is a nightmare on weekends. We’ve been in this building for three years now. It’s a decent spot for what we do. We just keep our heads down and keep making stuff until the orders are finished. No big secrets or fancy tricks, just us working and trying to stay ahead of the orders.
