Chocoholix

Located in the Sumit Apartments on Cumballa Hill, our shop sits right on Carmichael Road. It is a quiet and fancy part of the city, so we don't have to deal with the usual noise and chaos you find in other districts. We operate out of a small room that we have filled with our equipment and all the supplies we need. The air in here always smells like chocolate, which is something we have just grown used to over time. We spend most of our hours tempering and molding everything by hand. It is a slow process and can be quite repetitive, but we don't really mind the pace. We do not have a big storefront with lights; it is more of a place where people who know us come to collect what they have ordered. Most of our work is done in the back area where we can keep the temperature cool. Sometimes the delivery drivers get confused by the apartment entrance, so we have to go out and meet them on the street. We keep our notes in a simple ledger and try to stay on top of what we have left in stock. It is mostly just a couple of us doing all the work from the cooking to the packing. The space is often cluttered with boxes, but we manage to keep it organized enough to get the work done.
