You can find Choco Mania in Andheri East, over in the Sahar area. We are in unit 601 of the Thakur Charan Dham Building. It is more of a workshop than a store, really. We spend most of the day surrounded by cocoa powder and sugar. The building itself is usually quite busy with people coming and going, so we try to keep to ourselves. Making chocolates by hand is a slow process, and some days it feels like we are barely making a dent in the orders. The air conditioning has to stay on all the time so the chocolate doesn't melt, which makes the room feel very different from the heat outside in Sahar. We have rows of trays and molds everywhere. It is not a polished showroom; it is where the actual work happens. You might see some chocolate smudges on our aprons if you visit. We get our supplies from the same few people we have known for years. We don't spend money on fancy boxes with ribbons unless someone specifically asks for it. Usually, it is just about making something that tastes good. My hands are always a bit sticky by the time I leave to go home. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. We just make the stuff and hope people like it enough to tell their friends about us. It is just a small business trying to do things right.
