Up here in Juhu, at number 36 in Gyan Sadan on 6th Road, Pres, we spend our days around the smell of cocoa. Chic Chocolate isn't one of those massive factories you see on TV. It’s more of a local spot where we get our hands dirty making things. The kitchen area is always a bit warm because of the machines running all day. We spend a lot of time wrapping things up and making sure they are ready for whoever comes by. Juhu can be a busy place, especially with the beach nearby, but our street stays a little quieter than the main drag. Most people who find us are looking for something specific for a party or just a treat for home. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how the recipes go. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the sugar or flour, and we’re always cleaning up something. It's not a perfect setup, but it works for us. We try to keep things simple. We don't use any of those big corporate manuals. We just make the chocolate and put it in the boxes. If someone asks what’s good, we just tell them what we finished making that morning. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if it gets a bit hectic when the orders pile up before a holiday. It's just a regular local business making things people enjoy every day.
