Our office is at No. 11 Harikrupa on 10th Road in Chembur. It’s a pretty decent residential-meets-commercial area. We deal with shoe accessories, which means we have drawers and boxes full of laces, eyelets, and buckles. It’s a bit of a niche business, but there’s always a need for it. Sanghavi Shoes Accessories has been here for a while. The room is usually a bit messy with samples scattered on the tables. We don't mind it because it shows we're working. People drop by to see if we have a specific type of trim or a certain color of thread. We don't have a big sign outside, just enough for people to find us. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads of Mumbai. We take our time to make sure we are sourcing the right stuff. We aren't a corporate giant. We are just a few people who know a lot about how shoes are put together. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just comparing different shades of leather or synthetic materials. It’s what we do. We like the pace here in Chembur. It’s home for us, and the business fits right in. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our little corner remains much the same. Most of our regular customers just call us on the mobile.
