Our place is at No. 11 Harikrupa on 10th Road in Chembur. If you know Chembur, you know how these roads can be. We handle shoe accessories, so the rooms are filled with boxes of small parts like buckles, laces, and soles. It is a private limited company but it doesn't feel like a big corporate tower. It is more of a local operation where everyone knows each other’s names. We spend our hours checking inventory and making sure the right accessories go out to the shoe makers. Some days are hectic when a big shipment arrives and we have to stack everything neatly. The building, Harikrupa, is easy to spot once you get onto 10th Road. We have been working out of this spot for quite some time now. The morning commute can be a bit slow, but once we get in, the work starts right away. We don't really do much advertising; people mostly find us through word of mouth in the trade. It’s a lot of manual counting and checking lists. We have a small area where we keep the samples so customers can see the quality of the bits we sell. It is just a regular day-to-day business keeping the footwear industry moving. We stay focused on the details because that is what matters with shoe parts. It’s a steady kind of life here and we enjoy it.
