Shilpa Enterprise

Our shop, Shilpa Enterprise, is at G- 27 in the Municipal Market over at Chembur Naka. It’s a busy little market, and there’s always people walking by, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their daily shopping. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to use every inch of space from the floor to the ceiling to fit everything in. We sell a variety of things, and sometimes the displays are a bit of a jumble when we’re busy, but we know where everything is kept. We’ve been part of this market for a while, and we know many of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a nice community to be part of. We don’t have any fancy lighting or air conditioning that works perfectly all the time, but it’s a real place where people come to get what they need. Most of our day is spent helping customers, counting change, and restacking the shelves when things get low. We try to keep it simple. There’s no big corporate strategy here. We just want to provide decent products at a fair price and be honest with the people who walk through our door. Sometimes the market gets very loud with all the shouting and the traffic at the Naka, but you get used to it after a while. It’s just the way life is in Chembur. We’re glad to be here and plan to stay for as long as we can.
