Our office is located in Shanti Sadan Cooperative Housing Society, over in Gandhinagar, Bandra East. It’s unit 43/261. Being inside a housing society gives the place a different feel than a big commercial tower. It feels more like we’re part of the neighborhood. Checkmate Services Pvt. Ltd. has been running out of this space for some time now. We handle a lot of logistics and service coordination from here. It’s not a polished corporate environment. We have stacks of papers and folders everywhere because there’s always something to keep track of. Bandra East is a convenient spot, even if the traffic can be a nightmare during rush hour. We don’t have a marketing department writing fancy speeches for us. We just tell people what we can do and then we go out and do it. It’s a small group of us here, and we’ve worked together long enough that we don’t need to explain much to each other anymore. We just get on with it. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is coming up, and other days we’re out the door as soon as the sun goes down. People know where to find us if they need help with their services. We’re just regular people working in a regular office in Gandhinagar. No more, no less. It works for us and it works for the people we serve every day.
