Over at Elizabeth Apartments on B.M. Road in Parel, we’ve set up Apex Management And Allied Services. We are at Plot No.- C-3, which is quite close to Prime Plaza and the Elphinston area. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We do a lot of management work and other allied services that businesses need to stay afloat. The office isn't very large, but we make it work. Most of us have been working together for years, so we have a rhythm. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties unless there's a really big meeting. Usually, it’s just regular clothes and a lot of hard work. The building itself is an older one, which gives it a bit of character compared to the new glass towers. We know the security guards at the gate and the folks running the nearby shops. Managing different tasks for different clients keeps us on our toes. There are days when the phones are ringing off the hook and we’re trying to coordinate ten things at once. We don’t use a lot of fancy jargon or business talk. We just explain things clearly and try to get the job done right the first time. It’s a bit cramped with all the files sometimes, but it feels like home to us. We’re just local people helping other businesses manage their daily grind. It’s constant but rewarding.
