Working in the Thaker Industrial Estate in Andheri West is always an experience. Our unit is number 4 on Sapaji Road. It’s an industrial area, so there is always some kind of construction or truck blocking the way. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the neighbors sometimes. We’ve been here at Charisma for a bit now, just handling the daily tasks that come our way. It’s mostly about getting the work done and making sure we don’t fall behind. The space is filled with equipment and supplies. It gets pretty dusty if we don't sweep every single day. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see us working right there at the main tables. The lighting could be better, but it works for what we do. We usually start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. In Mumbai, the humidity is no joke, especially in these older estates. We have a small fan that helps a little. There is a tea stall nearby where we go when we need a break. It’s just a regular job in a busy part of the city. We try to stay organized, but sometimes things get a little messy when we have a big load of work to get through. We aren't trying to be anything we're not, just people putting in the hours. The floor is a bit uneven, but you learn where to step.
