Champak Steel House

Champak Steel House. We are located at 59/14 Nanubahi Deasi Road. Our shop is right opposite Islampura Street, which sits on Khetwadi Main Road. This is a very old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow. Dealing with steel in such a tight space can be a challenge. We have stacks of steel bars and sheets piled up against the walls. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. The floor is concrete and has some cracks from years of dropping heavy items. When the trucks come to unload, the whole street gets blocked for a bit, and the neighbors sometimes complain, but that is just how it goes in Khetwadi. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it’s sturdy enough for what we do. It’s hot in the summer because the metal holds the heat, so we keep the doors wide open. People come in looking for specific cuts of steel or just to see what we have in the back. We don't have any fancy brochures. We just write down orders on a notepad and get to work. It is a straightforward business. We wake up, open the shutters, and start moving steel. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most of our tools for cutting are older but they still get the job done just fine. We don't see any reason to change things. That is just how the steel trade works for us.
