Camp River Wild Office

Our office is tucked away on D N Road in the Fort area. If you know South Mumbai, you know how these old buildings are. It’s got those high ceilings and that specific smell of old wood and paper. It’s a bit of a contrast to what we actually do, which is river rafting and wild camping. Down here in Fort, it’s all about the hustle, the courts, and the big banks. But inside our room, we’re usually looking at photos of rivers or checking water levels. We started this because we wanted to share the excitement of the outdoors with city folks. The space is pretty functional. We have a couple of old desks and some cupboards full of brochures and maps. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We’re usually in t-shirts and jeans, probably with a bit of dust on us. Dealing with the traffic on D N Road is a daily thing for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone with our guides out in the field. It can get loud when the trains are busy nearby. We don’t really have a grand vision, we just like the water and want to help others get there without too much trouble. It’s a small operation, mostly run by people who’d rather be on a boat than at a desk.
