Orchid Shoes

We are Orchid Shoes and we operate out of Unit No. 401 in the Retiwala Industrial Estate. This is located on H. A. Palav Marg in Byculla East. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of commotion around us with other businesses and trucks moving in and out all day long. Our unit is on the fourth floor and we spend most of our time there working on various types of footwear. It is a practical space filled with the smell of leather and glue and the sound of hammers. We have been in Byculla for many years and have grown used to the pace of the area. The building is a bit old and the elevator doesn't always work like it should so we end up taking the stairs quite often. It keeps us moving I suppose. We don't have a fancy office or a place to sit and relax. It is mostly just workbenches and storage shelves for the shoes we are making. We aren't a big brand with a shop on the main road. We are just a workshop doing our best to get orders out to our customers. The lighting isn't the best in the corners of the room but we know where everything is kept. It’s a busy life here at unit 401 and we just take each day as it comes. We stay focused on the benches and getting the boots and shoes ready.
