Brijwasi Sweets

Working out of GIDC 84/11 in Church Gate Phase II means you get to know the industrial side of things. Brijwasi Sweets is located right in the thick of it. The smells here are different from the rest of the street. While the area is full of warehouses and trucks, our little corner smells like sugar and milk. It is a lot of work, and we start when most people are still sleeping. The heat from the back area can get pretty intense, especially in the summer months, but we just get used to it. The floors in Church Gate Phase II are often dusty, so we are constantly cleaning. We have our regulars from the nearby units who stop by at the same time every day. We don't need a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make what we make and put it out for people to see. The counter glass gets fingerprints on it throughout the day, and we wipe them off when we have a spare second. It is a busy life here in GIDC 84/11. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, and other days we have plenty left over. It’s just the nature of the business. We focus on the daily tasks and don't worry too much about the rest. It is a straightforward way to live, being part of the Church Gate Phase II community.
