Brijwasi Sweet Shop

Our shop, Brijwasi Sweet Shop, is situated in Ghatkopar West. We are right on Kanakapura Main Road at number 1. It is a busy intersection and things get pretty loud with all the traffic passing by. We have been making sweets here for a long time. It's a family thing, mostly. We don't use any fancy modern machines, just the same pots and pans we have had for years. The floor gets a bit sticky sometimes, but we try to scrub it down every night before we leave. We don't have a big marketing budget or any glossy flyers to hand out. People know where we are because of the smell of sugar and ghee. Some mornings we are up way before the sun to start the fresh batches. It is hard work and our backs usually hurt by the end of a long shift. We see a lot of kids coming in after school for a little treat. That is probably the best part of being on Kanakapura Main Road. We don't try to compete with the big modern stores that are popping up. We just do what we know. The sign outside is a little faded from the sun. We keep thinking about repainting it, but then we get busy with orders. It is just a regular local sweet shop. Nothing more, nothing less. We're happy to be in Ghatkopar West.
