Kalbadevi Road is always a mess with traffic and people, and that is where we spend most of our time. We are up on the third floor of Daulat Bhavan, specifically in Room 305. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it. You can hear the sounds of the street even from the office. We handle fabrics all day long. There are stacks of cloth everywhere you look. It is a bit cramped, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who drop in. We don't use much technology besides the basics. It’s more about the relationships we have with the mills and the buyers. Sometimes the fans make a lot of noise, but we are used to it by now. Being at 407 Kalbadevi Road means we are right in the heart of the market. Everything we need is just a short walk away. We have a small team, and everyone knows what they have to do. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. We just open the shutters in the morning and get to work. If you find the right staircase in Daulat Bhavan, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay busy and keep the business moving. Sometimes the elevator is broken so we take the stairs, but that's just part of the daily routine here.
