Bombay Kitchen

Bombay Kitchen is located at 8/A in the Noor Mahal Building, which sits on Sir Ratan Tata Road in Tardeo. We are right across from the Ranbit Restaurant, so it is a spot that many locals know well. Tardeo is a crowded part of the city, and our building has that old Mumbai feel to it. The kitchen is where we spend almost all our time, surrounded by the smell of whatever is cooking that day. It is not a shiny, modern facility, but it is functional and we know where everything is. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time, and we just get on with the cooking and the cleaning every single day. The street outside is usually full of taxis and people heading to work, and the noise filters in through the windows. We don't have a big dining area or anything fancy because we focus more on the back-end work of preparing food. Sometimes it gets really hot in the building during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and keep working. We don't bother with social media or big advertisements; most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from someone else in the neighborhood. It is a very hands-on kind of life here, and we like the simplicity of just making food in a place we have known for many years now.
