Bombay Exhibition Centre

The Bombay Exhibition Centre is a massive place. We are situated in the Nse Estate over in Goregaon East. If you have ever been to a big trade fair or a large show in Mumbai, you probably ended up here at some point. It is a huge space and there is almost always something going on. One day we might have a big machinery exhibition and then the very next week it is a textile fair or a book show. It definitely keeps us on our toes. The staff here spends a lot of the day just walking from one hall to another. It is a lot of ground to cover and our feet are usually sore by the end of the shift. We are not really like a normal office environment. There are always trucks unloading heavy crates and workers setting up stalls in the halls. It gets very loud and quite dusty during those setup days. Then when the gates finally open to the public, it is just thousands of people everywhere. We try to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold in one hall and not cold enough in another, but we do what we can. Goregaon is a busy area and getting in and out of the estate during a major event can be a real headache. We have seen all sorts of things come through here over the years.
