Blueberry Chocolates

We started Blueberry Chocolates right here at Kemps Corner 15 quite a while ago. It’s a small place, mostly filled with the smell of cocoa and sugar. If you walk past, you’ll probably see us packing boxes or checking the fridge. We don’t have fancy machines, just a few of us working together. People around here know us for the sweets we make. Sometimes the weather gets too humid and makes the tempering tricky, but we manage. My cousin helps out on weekends when it gets busy. We spend most of our mornings melting chocolate and making sure the fillings are okay. It’s nothing too complicated. We just wanted a place in the neighborhood where people could pick up a treat on their way home. The shop isn't very big, so we have to keep things organized. There's always a bit of chocolate on the counters no matter how much we clean. We’ve stayed at this same spot for years now. People ask why we don't move to a bigger place, but we like it here. It's close to the main road and easy to find. Most days it's just quiet work, listening to the radio while we wrap things in foil. We try to keep a decent variety in the glass cases. Sometimes a batch doesn't look perfect, but it still tastes fine so we might eat those ourselves. It's a living, and it keeps us busy from morning till the evening. It is what it is.
