Blue Lotus Communications

Blue Lotus Communications is tucked into Kamal Mansion in Colaba, which is an old building with a lot of character, even if the lift is a bit moody sometimes. Being near the Radio Club means there is always some activity around, and the sea breeze occasionally makes it into the office if the windows are open. We’ve been in Office No 2/54 for a few years now. It’s a small space, mostly filled with computers, stacks of newspapers, and empty tea cups. We spend our mornings going through emails and trying to get people to talk to each other. Communication sounds like a big word, but mostly it’s just making sure the right information gets to the right person without too much fuss. No big lobby or receptionist in a uniform exists here. You just walk in and we’re right there working. Some days are incredibly quiet, while on other days the phones won't stop ringing and everyone is talking at once. It can get a bit cramped when there is a lot of stuff to get through, but the location is nice. Colaba has a way of feeling like a small village even though it's in the middle of everything. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. It’s not always glamorous, but it keeps us going and the rhythm of the place has become familiar to us over time.
