Big Bag- The Big Gift House

You can find us at Gala No. 2 on Sant Rohidas Marg, right along the Sion Bandra Link Road in Dharavi. It’s a very busy part of the city, and there is always something going on outside our door. Big Bag- The Big Gift House has been in this gala for quite a while. It’s a compact space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. Dharavi is a place where everyone is working hard, and we are no different. Our days are spent surrounded by all sorts of items we keep for the gift business. It can get a bit crowded in here when new stock arrives, and we have to shuffle things around to make room. We don’t have a shiny corporate office or a team of people in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes, getting things ready. The noise from the Link Road is constant, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. We don’t spend time on fancy slogans or big promises. We just handle the gifts and make sure they are ready to go. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a bit of a mess, but we keep the shop dry and stay on schedule. It’s a humble way to run a business, but it suits the area and it suits us. We’ve stayed at Gala No. 2 because it’s where our roots are and where the work gets done.
