Smita Hardware Stores is located right on the ground floor at Shop No. 3 on Bibijan Street. It's number 41/47 if you're looking for the exact door. The shop is filled with all kinds of bits and pieces that people need for their houses or jobs. It gets a bit cramped sometimes because we try to keep a lot of stock in a small space. We spend most of our day helping people find that one specific bolt or tool they’re looking for. It’s a lot of walking back and forth behind the counter. Bibijan Street is always loud and moving, so there’s never a quiet moment. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just pop in and ask a question. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just shelves and boxes of hardware. Smita Hardware Stores has been around for a bit, and we know most of the regulars who come by. We try to keep things simple and honest. If we have it, we’ll find it for you. If we don’t, we’ll tell you straight. It’s a regular hardware life. Sometimes we’re cleaning dust off the inventory or counting stock when it’s slow. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to walk in. It's a plain way to run a shop, but it works for us here. We keep our pencils behind our ears and just get on with it. It is just life in the store for us.
