Bhansali Steel Corporation is located at number 27 on 2nd Carpenter Street. If you’ve ever been down this way, you know it’s a narrow street packed with all kinds of metal and hardware shops. Our place is no different. We have stacks of steel and various bits and pieces everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes, especially when a new delivery comes in and we haven't put it all away yet. The air usually smells like metal and oil. We’ve been on this street for years, and we know almost everyone on the block. It’s the kind of place where people come when they need something specific for a job. We don’t spend money on fancy displays or bright lights. Our shop is basic, with a heavy counter and some old stools. Most of the day is spent measuring things, cutting pieces down to size, or writing out bills by hand. It can get pretty noisy with the sounds of metal clanging together, but that’s just how it goes here. We open early in the morning because that’s when the contractors start their day. It’s a small space, but we manage to fit a lot of stock in. 2nd Carpenter Street is a busy spot, and we are right in the middle of all that activity, just doing what we’ve always done. Sometimes we have to move heavy pipes just to get to the back office.
