Beach Exports

We have been working out of this ground floor spot at Plot 428 in New Khar West for a while now. If you know the area near Khar Gymkhana, you know how it gets during the day with all the people and cars moving around. Beach Exports is basically just a few of us handling a lot of boxes and paperwork every single day. We deal with shipping stuff out and it keeps us on our toes from the morning until the sun goes down. The office isn't anything fancy to look at but it works for what we do. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit over the phone to be heard. It is a local operation and we know most of the neighbors pretty well by now. We spend a lot of our time checking lists and making sure things are packed right before they head off to the port. You see the same delivery guys coming in and out all the time. It is not a glamorous job but it is steady work and it keeps the lights on. Sometimes we have tea from the stall around the corner while we wait for a late pickup. We like being in this part of Khar because it is close to everything we need. Most of our day is spent tracking shipments and talking to people on the other side of the world. It is funny how a small room in Mumbai can be connected to so many different places. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
