Basta Watch Company

Basta Watch Company is located at 286 Yusuf Meharali Road, right along the path toward Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road. This area is always full of traffic and people moving about, so there is never a quiet moment outside. Our shop has been here for years, and the interior hasn't changed much in all that time. We have the same wooden counters and the same old stools we’ve always used. We deal with all sorts of watch problems, from simple strap changes to fixing the inner workings of a clock that has stopped. It is very detailed work and it can be quite tiring for the eyes after a few hours. My brother and I run the place together, and we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first started out. We don't use any modern computers or anything like that; we just keep our records in a big ledger on the desk. The street outside is often dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the display cases so people can see what we have. We aren't trying to be a big corporate business, just a local spot where people can get their watches looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. It is a steady life and we are happy to be here on Yusuf Meharali Road.
