This place at Building 8/16 on N D Street is usually pretty hectic. We have a few different things going on here under the Bansal name. Some days it’s all about the bearings and parts, and other days we are dealing with welding supplies or looking at real estate papers. Masjid Bunder West is a crowded area, especially being near the Mumbadevi Temple. There are always people moving boxes and trucks trying to get through the narrow streets. Our shop is right in the thick of it. You’ll see a lot of metal and industrial items stacked up. It’s an old building, but it works for us. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always the sound of someone moving inventory or talking about a property deal. We keep our records in the back office. It gets dusty with all the hardware around, but that’s expected in this line of work. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just a ground-level spot where we get things done. Whether it’s a bearing someone needs for a machine or a question about a local flat, we just handle it as it comes. It’s a family-run kind of vibe where everyone knows their role. We have been part of this market for years and just enjoy the daily grind of the busy street.
