Ate Courier Service

We are located at 118 on Fort Road No 1. It is a busy street and there is always something going on outside our window. Ate Courier Service is basically just a few of us making sure packages get where they need to go. We spend most of the morning sorting through what came in overnight. The desks are usually covered in tape dispensers and clipboards. We do not have any fancy waiting room or anything like that. People just walk in, drop off their envelopes, and we put them in the bin to go out. It is a lot of watching the clock to make sure we do not miss the pickup times. Sometimes the rain makes things slow down, but we try to keep the parcels dry under some plastic sheets we keep handy. It is not the most glamorous job, but it keeps us on our toes. We know most of the delivery drivers by their first names. If you stop by, you might see us eating lunch at our desks while we work through the pile. The building is an older one, so the door squeaks every time someone enters. We have thought about fixing it, but it lets us know when a customer is there. It is a simple operation and we just try to keep things moving. We stay until the last truck leaves in the evening, then we lock up and do it all over again tomorrow.
