Working at Astra Zeneca Pharma India Ltd. on Bellary Road in Hebbal is a bit different from the smaller shops in the city. It’s a big place, and you can see it from the main road. Most of us spend a lot of time just getting here because the traffic in this part of town can be quite a mess. Once you’re inside, it’s a lot of walking between different sections. We have our desks and our equipment, and everyone has their own specific task to focus on. It’s a professional setup, but we’re still just people doing our jobs. You’ll see staff hanging out near the water cooler or talking about the latest cricket match during their break. We don't spend much time worrying about how we look to the outside world. We just make sure the work gets done and the records are kept right. The Hebbal area has changed a lot since we’ve been here, with more buildings popping up all the time. It feels a bit like a small town inside the gates sometimes because you see the same faces every day. We don't have any big slogans on the walls. It’s mostly just notices about schedules or safety reminders. At the end of the shift, there’s a big rush for the gates as everyone tries to beat the evening traffic on Bellary Road. It is just another day at the office for all of us.
