Associated C Apsules P. Ltd is based in the Kandivali Industrial Estate. We’re at number 131 in Kandivali West. If you’ve ever been to an industrial area, you know what it’s like. It’s all concrete, trucks, and the sound of machinery. We make capsules here. It’s a very specific kind of work. The machines run almost all the time, making a rhythmic clicking sound that you eventually stop hearing. We have to be careful about the humidity and the temperature because of what we’re making. The place is kept clean, but it’s still an industrial unit at the end of the day. We have shifts, so there’s always someone coming or going. The commute from the station is a bit of a walk, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a door in a row of other industrial buildings. Inside, it’s mostly stainless steel and white walls. We spend our days monitoring the machines and checking the quality of the batches. It’s repetitive, but it’s important. We have our lunch in a small break room that gets a bit crowded. People around here are all doing similar work, so there’s a sense of being in it together. We aren't a corporate giant; we’re just a factory in Mumbai trying to keep up with the orders. It’s a steady, busy life for everyone involved here.
