Down in Dadar West, right near Shivaji Park, you’ll find us on the ground floor of Krushnakunj. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, especially with all the people coming for the park and the shops on Dr. M. B. Raut road. We deal with both fish and poultry here at Ask Fisheries And Poultries Llp, which keeps us on our toes because they are two very different things to manage. The ground floor is handy for when we have crates arriving or when we need to load up a small van. It gets loud outside with the traffic and the crowds, but inside we just focus on the lists and the orders. We’ve been in this spot at Plot 36 for some time now. The office isn’t much to look at, just some desks and a lot of logbooks. We spend a lot of our time checking that the suppliers are on time and that the quality of what we are getting is what it should be. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. Being in Dadar means you’re always in the middle of everything. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just keep the birds and the fish moving through the system. Some days are long and the tea gets cold before we can drink it, but that is how it goes. We just do the work without much fuss.
