Asian Business Exhibition & Conferences Limited is up on the 5th floor of Laxmi Plaza, which is in the Industrial Estate on New Link Road in Andheri West. Being in a place like 530 Laxmi Plaza means we are right in the middle of a very busy part of Mumbai. The elevators can be slow during lunch hour, so we usually just stay at our desks and work through. We spend a lot of time organizing exhibitions and conferences, which involves a massive amount of paperwork and phone calls to different vendors. It’s not just about the big day; it’s the months of prep beforehand that really take up our time. We have to coordinate with people from all over to make sure the booths are set up correctly and the power lines are safe. The office is full of floor maps and technical drawings for various halls. It’s a lot of technical detail that can get a bit dry, but it’s necessary so nothing goes wrong when hundreds of people show up. We’ve been in Andheri West for quite a while now and we’re pretty settled in. We aren't really into the flashy side of things. We just want to make sure the logistics are handled so the exhibitors can do their thing without worrying about the roof leaking or the lights going out. It's a steady job with a lot of moving parts and we just try to keep everything on track every single day.
