Ashok Airways

Ashok Airways operates out of a ground floor space at 12-D in Kalbadevi, specifically in the Viman Nagar and Sakore Nagar area. Being on the ground floor is handy because people can just walk right in from the street without having to look for an elevator. The office is a bit cramped because we have a lot of maps and charts pinned to the walls and stacks of travel documents on every available surface. There is a small window that looks out onto the street and we watch the rain or the people passing by when things are slow. We have a couple of computers that are always running and the phones seem to ring at the most inconvenient times. It is a modest setup with some plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait. We do not have a big corporate logo or any of those flashy displays you see in the bigger agencies. We just talk to people and figure out their travel or cargo needs one by one. The area around Sakore Nagar is usually quite busy and parking can be a real problem, so most people just walk over to us. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit but it keeps the air moving. It is a simple place where we spend our hours and it suits us just fine. We know most of the people who live and work around here.
