Ashiyana Mandap Decorator

You can find us at Shop No. 3 in the Ashiyana Building. We are right on the Kalwa Station Road in Thane. It’s very close to Prince Electronics, which is a good landmark if you’re getting lost. Being near the station means it is always loud with the trains and the crowds. We deal with mandaps and decorations for all kinds of local functions. Our shop is small, mostly filled with samples of fabrics and some poles. Most of our actual equipment is kept in a bigger godown elsewhere because Thane real estate is expensive. We’ve seen Kalwa change a lot over the years. We started when there weren't so many buildings here. Now it's crowded. We do a lot of work for the societies nearby. It involves a lot of lifting and climbing. My boys are used to the heavy work. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just talk to people who walk in. Some days it’s just sitting around waiting for the season to start, and then suddenly we have no time to sleep. We handle the flowers, the seating, and the stages. It’s practical work. We know the local halls around here quite well. If you are coming from the station side, it’s just a short walk. We usually have someone at the shop during the day, unless we are all out at a site setting up a stage for a wedding. It's a busy life.
