Ashish Event Management

We are located in Room No 1 of Dayabhai Chawl, down Mahant Lane in Malad West. It is right in the Somwari Bazar area, which gets incredibly busy and loud on market days. Ashish Event Management is basically a small operation run out of this one room. We do all our planning here, surrounded by samples of decorations and stacks of plastic chairs sometimes. It is a very local way of doing things, and we know everyone in the chawl and the surrounding lanes. Most of our work involves helping people in the neighborhood with their weddings or local festivals. It is a lot of manual labor and coordination, especially when we have to move equipment through the narrow lanes of the bazar. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby; people just walk up to the door and talk to us. It can be a bit chaotic during the peak season when everyone wants to have their event at the same time. We spend a lot of time on the ground, making sure the lights work and the food is being served. It is hard work and your feet usually hurt by the end of the day. Being in Malad West means there is always something going on, and we are right in the thick of it here in the chawl.
