Apris Media & Ent Pvt Ltd is located over at 17/134 Om Chs on Nehru Rd in Santacruz East. This part of Mumbai is always loud because of the traffic near Anand Nagar, but we’ve gotten used to it. The office is basically just a few of us sitting around computers and talking on the phone most of the day. We handle media stuff and entertainment bits, which sounds more exciting than it actually is when you’re staring at a screen for eight hours. There are stacks of papers and hard drives everywhere. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We spend a lot of time arguing over small details in projects or trying to get the internet to work faster when things are lagging. It’s a small group, so everyone kind of knows everyone’s business. We don't wear suits or anything. Mostly just jeans and tea. It gets pretty cramped in here when we have guests over, but we make it work with the chairs we have. Being in Santacruz is handy because the station isn't too far, but the walk in the humidity is still a pain. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure we don't miss our deadlines. It’s a regular job like any other, just with more creative headaches and constant emails. We often stay late and end up ordering food because nobody wants to cook after this.
