Anupam Sweet Mart

We are located on JP Road in Andheri West, at 12.75. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially with the metro nearby and all the shoppers. Anupam Sweet Mart has been a part of this street for a long time. We have all the regular sweets in the glass cases, like laddus and barfis. Most of our day is spent watching the crowd go by and serving people who want a quick snack or a box of sweets for a function. It’s often quite hot in the shop because of the large vats in the back where things are being prepared, but we are used to it. The shop isn’t very big, so when a few customers come in at once, it feels very full. We try to keep the floors swept and the counters clean, but it’s a constant job with people coming in from the dusty road. JP Road is never really quiet, even late at night. We see a lot of people who are just passing through on their way home. We don't do anything special for marketing; we just rely on the fact that we've been here at 12.75 for years and people know the name. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so it’s just us doing the work every day. We open early to get the fresh batches ready and stay open until the evening rush is over. It’s just a normal sweet shop for everyone in the area.
