We have been here at Shree Ram Baugh on M G Road for quite some time now. If you know Kandivali West, you know how busy this stretch gets, especially being so close to Dena Bank. Our shop is right in the middle of all that noise and activity. Most mornings start with us checking the inventory and making sure the fabric and lights are ready for whatever job is lined up for the day. It gets dusty sometimes with the traffic outside, but that is just part of being in this area. People walk in asking about all sorts of things for their functions. We usually just sit around the small desk and figure out what can be done with the materials we have in the back. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but we are still in the same spot. Sometimes the monsoon makes things difficult because the rain comes down hard on M G Road and we have to move everything inside quickly. It is not a very big space, but it fits what we need. We mostly deal with local folks from around Kandivali who just drop by while they are out doing their shopping or banking nearby. It’s a simple setup we have here. There is always tea being passed around and someone is always talking about a wedding or a small party happening somewhere down the lane. We just keep busy with the daily tasks of putting things together and taking them apart once the work is finished.
