Gautam Stores

If you are walking down J. P. Road in Andheri West, you will find us located in the Laxmi Jula Building at number 107. Gautam Stores is not a huge place, but we try our best to keep a bit of everything on the shelves so the people living nearby can find what they need without having to go too far. Andheri is always crowded and the traffic outside on the road is loud, but inside the shop it is usually just us and a few regulars. We have seen a lot of different shops come and go on this street over the years, but we have managed to stay right here. The layout of the store is a little bit cramped because we keep trying to fit more stock in wherever we can find a gap. Sometimes it takes me a minute to remember exactly where we tucked something away. My cousin helps out most afternoons, and we usually have a small radio playing in the corner. It is not some corporate chain or a polished boutique. It is just a local shop where you can stop by and grab a few things. We know most of the families who live in the apartments around here. Sometimes they just come in to say hello while they are out doing their daily errands. We do not have a website or anything, we just open the doors in the morning and see who comes through.
