Priyanka Exports is situated right on Andheri Kurla Road in Chakala. If you know Mumbai, you know how crazy the traffic is around here, especially near the Cinemax in Andheri East. Our office is always busy because of our location. We spend a lot of time on the phone or dealing with paperwork for shipments. It’s not the kind of job where you sit still for very long. There are always boxes being moved and labels being printed. The noise from the street is constant, but you stop noticing it after the first week. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the neighborhood has changed a lot. More glass buildings have gone up, but we’re still here doing the same thing. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a uniform. You just walk in and you’ll see us working at our desks. Sometimes it feels like we are drowning in cardboard, but that’s just the nature of exports. We try to stay organized, but with so many things going out to different places, it gets chaotic. We usually grab lunch from the local vendors nearby. It’s fast and easy. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just want to make sure the boxes get to where they are supposed to go without any trouble. It’s a tough business but we’re used to the pace of Andheri.
