Sandeep Steels

Sandeep Steels is based at 601 Express Chamber on M. V. Road. We are right opposite the Natraj Rustomjee building and very close to the W. E. Highway. Being near the highway means we hear the traffic all day and night. It’s a convenient spot for getting around, but it is definitely noisy. Our office is where we manage all the steel orders. We don't keep the actual steel here—that would be way too heavy for the sixth floor. Instead, we spend our time on the phones and the computer, connecting buyers with the materials they need. There is always a lot of talk about market prices and weights. The office itself is pretty simple. We have a few cabinets for files and a small table where we keep the tea kettle. It’s a small team, so everyone knows what the other person is working on. Sometimes it gets a bit tense when prices fluctuate, but we just keep at it. Outside the window, you can see the cars crawling along the highway during rush hour. It makes us glad we are inside, even if we are buried in spreadsheets. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the landmarks like Natraj Rustomjee make it easy for people to find us. It’s a practical place for a practical business like steel. We just focus on the numbers and getting things done.
