If you have ever been to Kalbadevi, you know it’s a maze of shops and people. Our office is right in the thick of it. We spend our days planning for the big moments in people’s lives. Weddings are a lot of pressure, but we’ve gotten used to the chaos. It actually matches the energy of the street outside. We aren't the kind of planners who wear suits and carry tablets everywhere. We are more likely to be found with a notepad and a cup of tea, trying to figure out how to fit a hundred chairs into a small hall. The office is packed with folders and sample books. It can be a bit overwhelming for some, but we know exactly where everything is. We work with a lot of local vendors in the market, so we are always running back and forth. It’s a lot of walking, but that’s just the nature of the job in this part of Mumbai. We don't put on any acts; we just tell people what it’s going to cost and how long it will take. It’s hard work, and our feet usually hurt by the end of the day, but it’s what we do.
