Amit Non Ferrous Metals is located at 86 Ardesir Dady Street over in the Charni Road area. We are on a level right opposite Shreyas Tekra at C P Tank. This part of the city is very old and the streets are quite narrow. Our place is full of metal samples and heavy scales for weighing things. It always has that distinct metallic smell that you get in this line of work. The building is old and the stairs are a bit steep. We have been working out of C P Tank for a long time and we know most of the other traders nearby. It is a noisy place with the sounds of metal being moved and trucks trying to navigate the street. Our office is simple, just some metal cupboards and a heavy desk where we keep all the records. We do not have any modern decor or fancy paintings on the walls. It is a practical environment for a practical business. We deal with non-ferrous metals every day, so our hands are rarely clean. The heat in the summer can be tough in these old buildings, but we just open the windows and keep working. We are just local people running a metal business in a part of Mumbai that has always been about trade and hard work. It is not always easy but it is what we know how to do best.
