Als Events

We have a small shop, Number 7, in the Yusuf Building on Dockyard Road. It’s on Dilima Street, right next to the Sainath Hotel. If you know the Dockyard area, you know it has a very specific feel with the docks nearby and all the trucks moving around. We run Als Events from this shop. It’s a busy little place where we spend our time talking to clients and making sure all the arrangements are in place. Being next to a hotel is great because there’s always someone around and it makes it easy to give people directions. We don't have a big team or a lot of layers of management. It’s just us doing the work. We handle various types of events, and we try to keep things as simple as possible for everyone involved. Planning an event can be stressful, so we just try to take that weight off people’s shoulders. We don't use any fancy marketing talk or make big promises we can't keep. We just look at what needs to be done and we do it. The shop is usually a bit cluttered with paperwork and event supplies, but we know where everything is. We’ve been at this location for a while and we like being part of the Dockyard community. It’s a practical place to work from, and it keeps us grounded in the reality of running a small business in Mumbai.
