Our office is on the fourth floor of the Jeevan Shankar Building. It’s right on Sir P M Road in Fort, so the area is always busy with people heading to work. We’ve been part of the manufacturing scene for a long time. It’s a group where people from different industries come together to talk shop. The building has that old South Mumbai feel to it, which we quite like. Inside, it’s mostly desks and stacks of files about factory rules and industry updates. We aren't here to sell you anything. It’s more about having a space where manufacturers can share what’s going on in their world. The walk up to the fourth floor is a bit of a workout if you don't use the lift. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but the work we do stays pretty consistent. It’s about the people making things across the country. We host meetings and sometimes things get a bit loud when everyone has an opinion on how things should run. It’s not a shiny, modern office, but it works for us. We keep things simple and focus on the practical side of manufacturing. Being in Fort means we’re right in the middle of everything, which makes it easy for people to drop by when they’re in town for business. We've been around long enough to know how these things go and how to keep the conversation moving among our members.
