Ali Design

Ali Design is over in Bandra West. We are situated right opposite the Telephone Exchange, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Bandra is a fast place, always something happening on the streets. Our shop isn't very large, but it’s where all the work happens. We spend most of our time at the back, working on whatever project is current. People walk in from the street all the time. Being opposite the Telephone Exchange means we get a lot of foot traffic. It’s a bit noisy with the horns and the people, but we’re used to it. I’ve lived and worked in Bandra West for a long time. This place is just a reflection of that. We don’t have a big corporate manual or anything. If a customer has a question, they just talk to me or whoever is behind the counter. We try to keep things real and not overcomplicate the designs. It’s a small operation, just a few of us. We share tea in the afternoons and get back to it. Sometimes the rains make things a bit difficult, but we keep the doors open. It’s a simple life running a business in this part of Mumbai. We’re just Ali Design, doing our thing right here in the heart of the neighborhood. We don't need much else besides our tools and a bit of space to think. It's been a good journey so far.
