Aipma

Working out of MIDC Marol in Andheri East is an experience. If you’ve ever been to Street Number 1, you know it’s a lot of trucks and noise. Aipma House is our base, at A-52. It’s an old building that’s seen a lot of history. We’ve been part of the industrial landscape here for a very long time. The office is usually humming with the sound of fans and people talking about production schedules. Since we are in the heart of the industrial zone, we are surrounded by people who make things. It’s a gritty, hardworking part of Mumbai. We don't have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s more about desks piled with files and the smell of the city coming through the windows. The traffic around here in the evenings is something we all just accept as part of the job. We spend our days dealing with the needs of the industry, mostly focusing on plastics. It’s a lot of paperwork and meetings that sometimes go on for way too long. We aren't trying to look like a modern tech startup. We are a traditional organization with deep roots in this neighborhood. Everyone in the building knows each other. We’ve seen the area change over the decades, but the work remains pretty much the same. It’s about keeping things moving and supporting the people who work in the factories around us. It is busy and loud but it is home for us.
