Aiena Sanaa Design

Aiena Sanaa Design is based out of Flat 403 in the Sibylle building, which is up on Worli Hill. It’s a bit of a climb or a lift ride up to the fourth floor, but it’s a nice change from the street level. We’re quite close to the Meal Restaurant, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find the place. Working from a flat gives the whole design process a more personal feel than a regular office building. We have our desks set up with computers and sketches scattered around. Worli Hill is a bit quieter than the rest of the neighborhood, though you can still hear the city moving in the distance. The space is filled with bits of fabric, color samples, and various design boards we are working on. It’s not a perfectly tidy showroom; it’s a working studio where things get messy when we are in the middle of a project. We don’t have a big staff, just a small group of us who enjoy the creative work. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at different patterns or layouts. It’s a simple, practical way to work. We don't go in for big presentations or polished corporate talk. We just like to sit down and figure out how to make something look right in this space we have here.
