Aditi Clock Industry

Our workshop is located at G/3 in the Chandan Mahal Society in Santacruz East. We are situated on the 11th road, which is quite near to the G M Desai Municipal Hospital. It is a ground floor unit where we spend most of our day working on various types of clocks. It is not a big factory or a showroom. It is more of a place where we sit with our tools and parts. My father started this business many years ago and I have been helping him since I was a teenager. We fix old wall clocks that people bring in and we also put together some new ones for local shops. The room is usually filled with the sound of ticking, which we don't even notice anymore. We have shelves full of gears, hands, and clock faces. It can get a bit dusty with all the old wood and metal lying around. We don't really do any big advertising. People mostly find us through the neighbors or because they saw our sign while going to the hospital. It is simple work but it requires a lot of patience and steady hands. Sometimes we get a very old clock that takes weeks to find parts for. We don't mind the slow pace of it. It’s just how things are done here. We aren't looking to expand into a big company, just happy keeping the clocks running for everyone.
