Abhijeet The Magician

Living and working out of Veer Sambhaji Chawl in Bhandup West is definitely interesting. I'm Abhijeet The Magician, and I stay here C/O Sunil Karangutkar on T.P. Road. If you know these chawls, you know space is a bit tight, so my magic props are tucked away in every corner. There are boxes of cards, hats, and things I’ve built myself sitting under the bed or stacked near the door. It’s a busy neighborhood, and there’s always the sound of neighbors talking or kids playing outside in the lane. I spend a lot of time practicing my moves in front of a small mirror while sitting on the floor. It’s not a fancy studio, just a regular home where I live and work. Sometimes the neighbors come by to see if I’ve got anything new to show them. T.P. Road is always buzzing with people going to work or the market. My life is mostly about getting ready for the next show, packing my bags, and making sure my gear isn't broken. It’s a bit dusty here, so I’m always wiping down my tables. Sunil is great for letting me keep all this stuff here. Most people around here know me as the guy who does tricks, which is fine by me. I’m just a local guy trying to get the magic right. It’s a simple life in Bhandup, nothing like the big stage lights until I actually get to the venue.
